Special Session Track on

AI and Data Science for Cybersecurity

Cybercrimes cost the global economy several trillions a year, placing it, if were regarded as a country, as the world's third largest economy after the US and China. Cyber-attacks increase everyday not only in number, but also in sophistication and intelligence. The cyberspace has truly become a dangerous world where malicious individuals, groups and organizations can harm people or disrupt systems and services at unprecedented scale. The power of data science and advanced data analytics can be exploited to detect cyberattacks before they succeed, fight undesired phenomena in the cyberspace such as misinformation, cyberbullying, online radicalization, etc., contributing therefore to making the cyberspace safer for its inhabitants.

This special session at the 10th IEEE International Conference on Data Science and Advanced Analytics will focus on the latest research and developments in AI models and data analytics for fighting cybercrimes in its various forms such as cyber-attacks, cyberbullying, or online radicalisation among many other cybersecurity topics.
